1. What is Neti Pot?

Do not use the iodized salt since it can also cause irritation. Also pay attention to the quantity of salt used. For example half liter of warm water can be added with just 5 grams of salt.

Pour the saline mixture to the Netipot. Raise your head to the side and place the neti pot nozzle into your upper nostril. Now pour the solution through one nostril and repeat the same with the other one.

Remember to breathe out from your mouth as it helps you to relax. Also keep in mind not to hold your nostrils tightly, remove the excess water from the nose by normal breathing.

You can use any plastic bottle with a nozzle or a snout like a dish soap bottle or contact lenses cleaning bottle. Any sauce or a condiment container can also be used. The only requirement is that it should contain a nozzle or a cone so that it fits correctly into one of your nostrils.
Ensure that you have cleaned the neti pot thoroughly so that there is no residue left behind. The bottle needs to be very clean, as you will be using it to clean your nasal passage. Now you can add the water and salt solution to this pot and use it for the irrigation

12. Are there any dangers associated with neti pots?
